I am looking for rustic lanterns for my tables. I saw some posts about burlap and I thought that was a great idea since butcher paper for round tables dont work. Any ideas what else I can use to cover my tables instead of linens would be greatly appreciated. I’m having red sunflowers as well.

Let me know if you find anything! I’m also having a rustic wedding and can’t figure out what would work for the tables. Burlap sounds like a great idea! Keep me posted!

You might try going to the fabric store to check out their muslin fabric.

I am terrible with decorating and we are doing it all. We are having a big white tent for 200 people with 10 tables on each side of the dance floor. I have a white dress that I bought from JCrew and I want to wear colored shoes(yellow or red). Problem is…..Idk what color my reception is going to be. I’m having beautiful red sunflowers with hints of yellow and orange in them. Wanted a fall reception but didnt want it to be cold. Was thinking of gingham yellow table clothes but they are way expensive. I wanted to try butcher paper since we are have a “bbq” theme!!! I’m trying to keep it casual but classy if thats possible. I love outdoors and rustic. My neighbor is making muslin bags that we are having stamped(not sure what yet) and then she is filling them with sunflower seeds and placing them at the table for each person. Anyways, any ideas of suggestions would be great.

We’re doing a rustic/casual summer wedding and for “lanterns” I’m using mason jars (and any other type of jar I’ve been able to get my hands on). If you shop around online you can get large bolts of burlap for fairly cheap that might work for your tables.
