bbq seems to be a favorite for rustic. You can look up food styles for inspiration and I’m sure your caterer has options. The last rustic wedding I went to the hubs had steak, potatoes ans some veg, I had bourbon salmon with potatoes and veg. It was delicious!

I wanted to have a farm wedding but we picked a winery instead as it was more affordable and we know the owners quite well.  So we trusted them.  It just so happens they do an annual pig roast.  And i thought that would work well with the rustic theme!  So we are going to have a pig roast at our wedding! 🙂 So BBQ works!

You can serve anything you want. The food needn’t be rustic simply  because you have a rustic theme.

That is a gorgeous venue. You could serve anything from bbq to steak and lobster and neither would be out of place.

We’re planning on a Thanksgiving dinner! We’re getting married (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend so it makes sense. I like the idea of BBQ!

I’d say whole chickens/hens, roasted vegetables (whole carrots, onions, fingerling potatoes), crusty bread and pies. I’d recommend searching for “rustic food” on Google or Pinterest.
