If that photo of tables is how you want your tables to look, I think the white lanterns will look the best. You could still have them on the wood slices with a candle inside and the babies breath scattered around the bottom of the lantern.

I’m doing the rustic thing too and I don’t know if any of this will be helpful but I’ve got the wood slices, and on top of those I’m doing a mason jar with baby’s breath (I know, that’s so overused now, nobody likes it anymore but me), and also votive candles with a little tulle tied around the holder, pinecones, deer antlers, a little sprinkle of dried moss, and a little faux bird.

FutureMrsWaits16:  I would use black, because it keeps the same rustic look. White is a little too fresh and clean. It could depend on what color you are using for tablecloths. Are you planning on using flowers in the pitchers?

You can get galvanized metal lanterns if you would rather have the same metal.
