Yes its girly but I don’t think it matters. I made all my Out of Town bags Pink because it matches the wedding, LOL.

Well, since I’m roaming around the board today, I’ll comment:)  Yes, the sachets are too girly for your male guests.  Your idea of candles might be too girly too.  Although, I have found mahogany/tobacco scented candles (they smell really good, better than they sound!) and they might be masculine enough.  I just don’t know about cost.

What about just a tiny box of chocolates? My sister got married in Vegas and we all got a box of chocolate dice.  Very cute. Everyone loves chocolate and it eliminates the gender problem.  Just a suggestion:)

Oh I love those! I don’t know about all guys, but Darling Husband actually asked for sachets for Christmas this year–haha! I think even macho guys might secretly use them…who doesn’t want their clothes smelling good?

My SO would have no idea what a sachet is lol.

You really dont have to do a favor you know. Its honestly not something I think people would miss.

yes I do think it is a bit girly but why not have them as favors and have food like cookies or candy bar for the men/children and women can have the sachets

I’d say they’re a bit too girly.

My Fiance loves candles, though… and trust me, he’s picky about his candles, too.  His fav are the green ones (mango or something like that, lol).

Yea I agree, they are girly. So go with sachets for the girls, and something else for the guys. My question is (in all honesty) what are sachets? They look too small to put anything in them, so they’re not bags are they? I’m so confused! πŸ™‚

@kperry3: they’re filled with potporri-type stuff.  I have a ceramic one somewhere that you can refill, because there’s a little plug on the back that you can take out, empty the used up potporri and refill it with new.

You use it to put in dressers and closets.  I had some little wooden thingys once, too, that I kept because they were really cute!

Basically, you make take two pieces of fabric, sew up three sides, stuff with potporri, then sew the last side and voila, sachet!  Personally, I’d try making it with a zipper or velcro so that you can refill ’em.  Otherwise, all you have is tiny pillow once the scene is gone.

IF you were to make your own, you could use flavored pipe tobacco for the men’s.  It smells REALLY good and it has a more masculine scent than the typical potporri.  You can also get it at good prices….

Just an idea…

I think only the female guests will like this…

They are super cute but unfortunately may not be appreciated so much by the male guests. What if you suggest the idea of using them for favors for your bridal shower?? Definitely unique and I know I would appreciate getting it as a favor πŸ™‚

i say if you have an open bar thats a good enough favour for the men LOL sachets might be a little to girly though i think and most male guests wont know what to do with it, but maybe you can do a different favour for the guys like a bottle opener or something, guys dig that sh*t lol
