So sorry for you!
When you look at your wedding band, may it symbolize your wise choice at a couple not to go into debt and to start with a strong foundation. Be proud of that.
Maybe later on in life, you can get another ring to wear with it, and that one could symbolize your success, both financially and as a strong couple.

Right before xmas my fiance got a nice little letter from the IRS informing him that he owed a large sum of money and that it was going to be coming out of his paychecks from there on out. I freaked out as this was 5 months till our wedding we are paying for everything ourselves. So yes, our honeymoon and wedding bands have been cut back and we have sacrificed alot. We did get on a payment plan, $400 a month but that still hurt us financially. Hang in there. It’s 4 days till our wedding and I am not worried about where we could have gone or the wedding bands we could have gotten, I just can’t wait to stand up there across from him!

I have made a lot of sacrifices in order to save money. Last year, I quit smoking, both because Fiance wanted me to and because they are so expensive up here. As of this month, to help save money for the wedding, I am eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch every day at work. I am also not buying any new work clothes for spring. We are cutting back on going out and ordering in meals. All of these little sacrifices, plus a few others, will mean that we can pay for our wedding and still have money for a downpayment on a house afterwards, Totally worth it.
