*Hugs*  Sorry to hear about this, but at least you know you can come here and know that people will understand you!!!  It sounds like you did everything right, I would blame it on possible humidity and that’s what did it:)  I’m sure no one thinks that you just shoved them in the envelope:)

awwwww {{hugs}} don’t worry, I’m sure everyone thinks that they are as elegant as we do! Great job! Don’t worry, your day will be great and you won’t remember this little snafu at all. Totally not your fault!

Don’t worry – they are beautiful!! and everyone will be looking at how great the entire invitation suite is, they won’t even notice a smudge.

Does the cardstock have any sort of metallic sheen or pearescent sheen to it? I tried to use some that did, and found that no matter how long I dried the ink, it still smudged a little. I used an inkjet printer….then I realized that laser printers are supposed to work better, but had resigned myself to printing on flat cardstock, and backing it with the metallic sheen paper…just an FYI to the other DIY brides out there πŸ™‚

I feel your pain, getting caught up in the details. Rest assured, though – none of your guest are going to care about their smudged RSVP card when they’re watching you and your fiance vow to be with one another forever.

(And, for what it’s worth, I think your invitation suite is really pretty πŸ™‚ )

Those invites are gorgeous! I wouldn’t worry about ink transfer. If your invites are 1/2 as good as what the pics show you’re in FANTASTIC shape πŸ™‚ they are awesome!

Aw, sweetie…Trust me, by the time the wedding rolls around you’re going to have a million other details to worry about and neither you nor your guests will even remember them. After the wedding people talk about the details of the day, noone ever talks about the invitations. I’m sure very few people if any paid attention to it, and defintely noone thought you carelessly shoved them in the envelopes. And really, it’s only us brides that get meticulous about these things. For your guests it’s just a piece of paper inviting them to your big day, no more. And for what it’s worth, those are really beautiful and elegant invites.
