Oh, I’m sorry! I know that many of the bloggers were accepted after reapplying, if you are interested in doing so! Sometimes it takes time to develop your voice.

Personally, I would keep blogging, regardless of whether or not you reapply! I really like having my blog as a personal scrapbook of the three months leading up to our wedding.

@misskarianne:  aw don’t worry, its really competitive I’d bet….& you can reapply. And if you wanted you can start your own blog anyways somehwere else and invite your friends to it:)

I think a really big chunk of the bloggers who are being featured now applied at least twice, some multiple times. Ask for feedback from the admins. Sometimes it’s a really simple “fix”(maybe you’re posting some content that wouldn’t necessarily belong on a Bee blog), or they might just be looking to feature different styles of weddings, more focus on certain budget, any number of reasons. Just keep asking what you can do to improve and of course keep blogging.

Ok so I promise I’m not trying to be snarky and I hope you’ll take this as constructive criticism. Maybe on the boards you post from your phone (I know that sometimes does weird auto corrects and makes it hard to capitalize for me) but after looking at this post I noticed that the grammar and wording weren’t perfect so I poked back through some of your older posts and noticed more of the same.  Now, grammar isn’t the be all, end all most important thing but I know when I TA classes, my students can have the best ideas and personal voice out there and if it’s painful to read for those reasons it’s difficult to come across as good as it is.  Granted I haven’t seen your blog (pm me a link -I’d love to rectify that) but it could be just the thing that pushes you into being accepted ๐Ÿ™‚

Most apply multiple times. Your wedding is also farther away than most Bees that get chosen!

@misskarianne:  I started blogging a little over 3 months before my wedding, so don’t let the timeline stop you. (In fact, I am not sure if I would have been as good of a blogger if I would have started blogging further out from my wedding date. It’s definitely easier to write about planning once you actually have things planned.)

hey, I know how you feel! I applied twice and was rejected. I tried to not make it too personal, and give a focus on green, eco-weddings which I felt didn’t have a lot of representation here on the bee. You know, working my “angle”.

I thought maybe I was turned down because they already had two other lesbian blogger bees, Miss Eagle and Miss Scone, and I was fine with that. But recently Miss Tiara came on board, so I guess that was just an excuse I used to make myself feel a little better! haha!

Since then, I keep on getting more followers on my blog, I’ve been making local connections with other brides who have found me, and I had a blog featured on Offbeat bride, since I submitted to them after being rejected here. I love the writing process for its own sake.

and I’m glad I’m not under pressure to write three blogs a week!

@SapphireSun:  I’m glad you weren’t offended. I’m more than guilty of just spewing text on to the boards without reading and pressing send too. I just see so manygoth reside fantastic pieces of writing get lost in these details I thought I’d point it out. Def pm me a link! Considering my wedding was almost two years ago and I’m still hanging out I obviously just love them ๐Ÿ™‚
