But luckily, I have an extended service plan (know why they exist now) so it could be alot worse. I’ve been engaged since December so now my ring finger feels naked. Weird coming from a person who doesn’t wear much for jewelry! It’s amazing how attached to our rings, we become! My vent of the day…

Thank the lord for the service plan! It’s amazing how attached we are to our rings 😉
When will it be fixed?

Yes, it’s amazing how sad I was to take it off. It’s one thing to take it off while painting and another when it needs to be fixed haha. August 25th is my pickup day. A long 10 days 🙂

OH it sucks that you lost a diamond, but Im glad that you had the protection plan. They are amazing to have. It does stink to not have your ring though. When my ring had a loose diamond I had to send it back, and it was an awful feeling. You will have it back before you know it though.

aw that sucks! so glad you have that plan!!
Because I bought a second hand piece from my jeweler they wouldn’t offer it to me and it’s a fear of mine.

Thanks ladies! Thank goodness for service plans. Whew! Hopefully, this doesn’t become a habit. haha
@Oneeleven: One thing I thought of is you could still somewhat cover it by insuring the ‘monetary’ value of it either through apartment or homeowners insurance if it’s possible. I put my ring under my homeowners (I think it was an extra $80/yr) in case I lose it completely. An extra expense I know but it gives me some peace of mind.
Hopefully, this will never have to be used! 🙂
