That is so sad. 🙁 Poor kitties. Why do people have to be so cruel like that.

Yikes!  Thats awful.  The sad reality, most of those rescued cats will likely be euthanised due to infectious disease.  I doubt anything was vaccinated.  Tragic, but you got to winder where they all came from?  Likely a lot of inbreeding, but no one made complaints prior to PETA?  700 cats is a lot of excrement even on 30 acres.  The place must be far away from any kind of neighbours.

I shudder when I see stories like this. I have a private cat sanctuary and care for 40 cats. I just got done building them a two-story home, insulated and complete with electric, heat, and a huge play yard.  All cats are spay/neutered, vaccinated and our vet lives 10 minutes from the house. Stories like the recent one in the news is WHY I will not accept any more cats. I know my financial and time limits. As much as I would love to save more, I simply can not do it. People do not understand –  “Please take just one more”, or “We have a litter of kittens living under our porch” or “My daughter is moving and must get rid of her cat.” EVERY freaking week I get requests to take in unwanted cats. So sad. There wouldn’t be this problem is people simply spay and neuter their pets, stop buying from breeders or breeding and most importantly – STOP regarding pets as “disposable”. I would no sooner get rid of a pet than any other family member.

Ugh… that is heartbreaking.  My husband and I donate $50 every month to a cat sanctuary called Tabby’s Place.  They send me newsletters every month describing the health and disposition of the kitty we sponsor.  I would be devastated if I found out anything less than humane was happening to the cats at that sanctuary.

oh my, I cannot believe this. I clicked on the video at the end and immediatly closed it. Way too awful to even watch. My heart seriously breaks for these helpless animals. I am a volunteer at a no kill shelter. My dream and goal in life is to make enough money to be able to volunteer more and make a bigger difference in animals lives. UGH

The cat that I am fostering right now was beaten nearly to death with a hammer. I really do not understand people….

@bestbuddies:  OMG a hammer!? People are SICK!  I know abuse is abuse, but to physically be that violent to an animal is horrific.  I hope the person responsible was caught.  Statistics show serial killers often start on animals and escalate to people as they age.  Absolutely sick.

I cried through the entire video. My heart breaks for those poor kittens, such a sad situation. I’m really glad the truth is out about that place and I hope that guy is punished.

Managed to watch the video.  Hoarder, plain and simple.  Absolutely horrific, those poor cats.
