I found out last night the my (Dad’s) beloved dog had to be put to sleep, as she had a tumour in her tummy that burst. My heart is broken, my Dad’s and Stepmom’s even more so. She was my baby girl, I loved that dog with all my heart. She passed away so suddenly, it has hit us all hard.
On top of this, my Dad’s cat passed away a few weeks ago, so their once happy, pet dominated house, is now probably feeling so empty 🙁 To lose two childhood pets within one month is absolutely heartbreaking. This is the only downside of loving an animal – knowing that you will almost always out live them.
Here are a few pictures of our beloved Rolly Cat and Tilly aka Tillaroo, our beautiful puppy. Rest in peace my loves.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I know the pain, my family just had to put out 16 year old cat to sleep. It’s a really hard thing to lose a pet you grew up with, they’re such a big part of the family.
They were both beautiful pets and it sounds like they lived a very loved life. It slowly gets easier, just remember all the good times you had with them and the funny stories about each of them.

I’m so sorry for your loss. They bring so much joy into our lives, and it’s never for long enough. They both knew how much they were loved, and their lives were very happy. It’s hard to remember sometimes, but try to think about the good times, and it’ll slowly start hurting less.

Thank you all. I know they know how well they were loved by us all, and that it get’s easier in time. It’s just not a very fun day today :*(. I should have taken a personal day, because every so often sitting at my desk at work I am getting teary and emotional.

@kandykane1: Thank you so much! It’s getting a little easier, but I saw a dog in the park who reminded me of Tilly, and it made me a little sad again.
