Back in April, I was checking out Etsy and found the most perfect necklace for my bridesmaids to wear for my wedding in August. I contacted the seller and asked if she could make 2 more with earrings to match. She was very nice and said it would take about 2 weeks – plenty of time! In May, a month later, I hadn’t heard anything so I contacted her again. She said that she had finished the necklaces and was just waiting on stones for the earrings – would need about 2 more weeks, still plenty of time. Two months go by and still nothing. I sent two very nice emails in the span of two weeks and hear nothing! I sent a final email saying how disapointed I was that she did not even have the decency to contact me or respond to my emails. Has anyone else had trouble like I did? Did I do something wrong? Does anyone have suggestions for jewelry on Etsy? I am so sad because these pieces were perfect 🙁

Can you file a transaction report with etsy? If you paid with Paypal, you might want to try that to, but I believe there is a cut-off, they only allow claims so many days after purchase.
Here’s a link to Etsy’s FAQ:

Unfortunately with some Etsy sellers they are still new to the world of Etsy and selling! Hopefully everything works out and that you have a better experience next time!

I hadn’t paid anything yet, I thought you paid when they put the reserved listing up for you. I dont know if there is anything they can do if I didnt give her any money yet. Is this right?

Yeah, you’re probably right. If she hasn’t actually put up a listing for you, I’m assuming etsy has no record of it. If I were you I’d send her one last e-mail saying if you don’t hear back you’re going to move on, then I’d find another seller.
