We set up a taxi service with a local cab company between the venue and the hotel. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth it to make sure our guests were safe. If you don’t think there’s a local taxi service, what about contacting a privately run bus company and getting a mini bus to do runs?

No…for us it will be in the city and I believe we will probably have people who will drink alot (the usual for them) and will know who to call, or won’t drink at all (ie. my side of the family!!)

For you…how far out of town is it?  Perhaps you could hire someone (I don’t know what the laws are for this, if they need any kind of qualifications) and rent a couple vehicles for the night (we are renting 2 SUVs rather than limos for the bridal party) and they came out to around $300, most of which was paid for with airmiles.  Might be cheaper than taxis?
