Are you providing any designated driver services to your guests, such as a shuttle to the hotel?
We’re marrying in a very rural area and I don’t think that a shuttle is available through the hotel the guests will be staying at. The reception venue definitely does not have any type of service like this. I doubt there’s any type of cab service available in this area either.
How are you helping your guests get home safely if they’ve consumed too many?

We set up a taxi service with a local cab company between the venue and the hotel. It wasn’t cheap but it was worth it to make sure our guests were safe. If you don’t think there’s a local taxi service, what about contacting a privately run bus company and getting a mini bus to do runs?

No…for us it will be in the city and I believe we will probably have people who will drink alot (the usual for them) and will know who to call, or won’t drink at all (ie. my side of the family!!)
For you…how far out of town is it? Perhaps you could hire someone (I don’t know what the laws are for this, if they need any kind of qualifications) and rent a couple vehicles for the night (we are renting 2 SUVs rather than limos for the bridal party) and they came out to around $300, most of which was paid for with airmiles. Might be cheaper than taxis?

It’s about 45 minutes to a town with a Wal-Mart… And not all of the guests are going to the hotel. Really only about 10 of the 50 guests are going to the hotel, everyone else is local.
