I dont think I could do that show it would be too much stress so good for you for pulling out! I think your day will be happier without strangers putting it down.
On another note I always wondered if maybe they videod the wedding for you and gave you a tape and that was like your payment? I think it would be awesome if they did that

@Jeannine @ Small Chic: I just went to a Four Weddings wedding and the cameras really don’t get in the way in fact I forgot all about it. I knew they were they but it didn’t take away from the wedding at all.
AND I love watching the show ….. The bride wasn’t stressed out at all in fact she was very excited and enjoyed doing it. But it really depends on how you feel about it it’s not for everyone! Regardsless I don’t mind winning a free trip!!

Good for you! I admit, I enjoy watching the show, but I would never want to be on it. Some of the brides go to great lengths to trash stuff about each other’s weddings, and I just wanted to enjoy the big day without worrying about what anybody else was thinking, tbh!

I agree too- saving money on food is more important than making it “better” than everyone else- same goes for entertainment, etc. More fun watching the show than participating.

Like many of the previous posters, I say good for you!
Too much pressure; and a recipe for instant regrets. FH & I love watching, but we would never want to be on it.

I love that show but I wouldn’t want to be on it either – good for you! (I especially love it because my venue was on one of the episodes and that bride won and got a perfect score on the food there 🙂 )

I think you made a great choice. I’d rather be surrounded by the people that I love on my big day… not strangers and camera crews.

I watch that show everyday and think “I could never do this!” I totally support your decision!
