I tried a nice coral shade they have. I found it worked great, usually the tips of my nails get a bit worn quickly but it stayed on me a good week or more. On my toes it is actually starting to grow out and it’s still not chipped, that’s been on over a  month. It lasted me longer than OPI and other salon brands do.  I only tried it once so far so maybe I was less hard on my nails but I don’t think so. You can maybe check out makeup alley, they should have quite a few reviews of it there!

I’ve used the MG polishes with the MG topcoat, and the MG topcoat on it’s own with other non-MG polishes. I have tried a few of the polishes and, eh, mixed formulas. Some were really gummy-like and not that fun to work with. So I don’t really use the polishes much anymore. The topcoat seems decent though and I use it sometimes over other non-MG polishes. It is fairly thick, but dries in a not unreasonable amount of time and seems to last okay but I have noticed it can feel a little “squishy” a few hours after application at times (even when using a MG polish under). Not my fave topcoat, but will do time to time.

Still, it is not like an actual gel polish. I have tried a few of the “no light” gel-like systems (Sally Hansen, Revlon, L’Oreal, CND Vinylux) and none can quite replicate the look, feel, or wear of actual gel polish and with at home kits it is so easy to do your own gel nails anyway so I don’t really see the benefit, except easier removal. I do know people who do get more wear from the SH MG, but so much of that really depends on your own nails, preparation, and so on. There are people who can get a normal polish to last a week or more, and others who can’t get through day, and the MG seems no different. I mean, polish on my toes lasts for several weeks, even the real cheapies, which is good as I kind of hate polishing my toes, but my hands are hit and miss.

My mum on the other hand tells me the SH Miracle Gel is the ONLY polish she can get to last more than a day or two (excepting gel manicures). It lasts about a week on her. I personally get too bored wearing the same polish for a week to worry about something lasting a week 😉

I love it,  though I prefer Sally Hansen complete salon manicure polish.  I just like the texture and ease better than the gel.

Al nail polishes chip the next day for me,  EXCEPT sally hansen miracle gel.   Lasts nearly a week!

I tried the miracle gel. It lasted maybe a day longer than most nail polishes on me, but I have a really difficult time getting nail polishes to stay put in general! I typically have second day chips. I had my first “real” gel manicure and tomorrow will be 3 weeks of it not going anywhere… So in my experience, it’s not comparable to a traditional cured gel manicure.

bellbee:  Yes, I really like the Complete Salon Manicure line, or at least most of the ones I have tried. Very good for a drugstore line. “Commander in Chic” is one of my most worn polishes, and I have like almost 300 polishes, ha. I still do tend to use a base and topcoat though, can’t break the habit!

Wasn’t impressed by this it wasn’t gel like at all but bland and dull. I really SH’s gel like top coat which comes in a silver bottle. On the whole I love SH producuts but the miracle gel thing was a let down

I hated it. Chipped the next day. Same for the revlon “gel” nail polishes. Normal nail polishes last at least 4-5 days without chipping (well, all except Essie, that stuff is same day chippage on my nails) so I was beyond disappointed.

I really liked it. On my fingernails, it lasts 4-5 days, which isn’t much longer than regular polish, but the benefit for me is that I think it looks nicer than regular polish. It lasts much longer on my toenails – 2-3 weeks, but I usually get bored and want to repaint them after 7-10 days.

ladybug55078:  It works pretty well. I’ve noticed it doesn’t “dent” like the other nail polishes do if you accidentally bump something before the laquer has COMPLETELY dried (which I inevitably always do :p). I also use the top coat on top of reguar nail polish laquers and it works great! Cures fast and stays on solid 🙂

I took off my gel polish last night and decided to put on some Miracle Gel to refresh my memory on what I liked and did not like about it…”Grey Matters” which I had not tried yet. Love the colour (a dusty/muted blue) but the formula itself is so gummy and I had to be really careful during application as it does not level out well nor is it as workable as a gel. Pros are that it did not flood so easy to get a clean line and was opaque in 2 layers, though. Put on Miracle Gel topcoat and got a dent over an hour later, and the polish looked kind of dull and flat. Definitely not gel-like or even shiny like most regular topcoats when freshly applied. I put on some Seche Vite over all the Miracle Gel and now it looks nice and shiny, and of course hardened up almost right away.

The formula is not so bad that I would not use it if I really liked the colour, but if I have a dupe I’d probably just use that instead with a good base and topcoat. Or use actual gel which will actually be dry in 30 seconds of curing, and not dent an hour later!

I tried this polish for the first time two days ago, so still waiting to see how long it lasts on me. I usually get 2- 3 days before polish starts to chip.

I bought Block Party which  is a coral colour. It went on a bit more orange than it looked in the bottle. I found that the polish formula was quite thin. It took me 3 coats to get it .

The top coat is really thick and seems kind of sticky, it was actually forming little strings back to the bottle when I pulled the brush out.

I thought it would take a while to dry with 4 coats on my nails but it actually dried really quickly after putting on the topcoat, so there might be some truth to their claim that it is cured by natural light. I noticed it felt kind of rubbery on my nails after drying, and they came out super shiny. After a couple of days at work (retail – hard on my nails) they have lost most of the shine but haven’t chipped or gotten any tip wear yet. I might try reapplying the top coat today.

i tried a really light pink one, followed the directions and it chipped after a few days. i have super weak nails so maybe it’s me and not them, but i didn’t like it.

the manicure in a bottle line is great and way outlasts my miracle gel.

ladybug55078:  I have to update my previous comment.  I still prefer the complete salon manicure, but I wore the miracle gel for our engagement pictures because I could not get the color, “Sugar Fix” out of my head.  It was the perfect fun color for the shoot!
