My Destination Wedding wedding is this Sunday at the beach, six hours from my hometown. Well, my Mother in Law is already down there, she took two weeks and rented her beach house, while I only took one… so, I asked her to run by my salon to confirm my appointment to get my hair done for the wedding… and.the.building.is.completely.empty!! O.M.G.
Well, I called the owners cell phone and apparently she SOLD the building and has no salon. THANKS FOR TELLING ME!
Thank GOD for my coordinator who referred me to her hair stylist, and is opening her salon for us on a Sunday, when they’re normally closed and having three hairstylists work on my eight girls.
Anyone else experience last minute glitches??

Wow I haven’t had any of those yet. Maybe you should have your mom run by the DJ, photographer, and venue too just in case any of those aren’t there either! You’d think people would at least call to cancel their appointments when they close down.

All I can say is thank goodness for fabulous coordinators! I can’t believe the owner didn’t have the decency to call and at least let you know what had happend with the building sale (especially a woman – you’d think she’d consider how upsetting it’d be to find out last minute like this!!). I’m just glad to hear that your coordinator was able to come through in a pinch and get some girls to do hair using her local contacts.

I’ve been in contact with all my other vendors through email, and have meetings set up through the week…. but when I called last week to confirm with the salon, I just assumed I called afterhours or they were busy, guess I was wrong!
My coordinator has been my saving grace! I love her and would recommend her a million times over!! 🙂
