Ok, I’m discovering that I am not the only one having a terrible time picking out the bridesmaide dresses and the colors.
I orginally was thinking of having a grey bridesmaid dress but then I had my Maid/Matron of Honor try on one that looks stunning in black. I have already picked out my color sceme which was supposed to be – Grey (a darker grey)… with an array of bright flowers (pinks, corals, orange).
My Ceremony is going to be in Southern California near a golf course which also over looks the ocean. I’m in between formal and something different.
The dress I like you can mix and match the chiffon and satin so, I was wondering if this would look aweful, if I picked out one a few options I liked and then had the girls pick their colors???
A few options are attached that are in the “grey” color family…

I think it looks fine as long as there isn’t just one girl who picks a color different than the others (e.g., you have three blacks and one gray). Maybe you can have them run their color choice by you to ensure that doesn’t happen?

@doingathing: I was thinking her idea was really cool … but you’re right as long as one girl doesn’t pick a different color then the rest it should work.

I personally like unifrom dresses but that’s just my opinion. I just think it looks cleaner when all girls are at least wearing the same color, but preferaby the same style too.

I agree with the comment to make sure one girl doesn’t stand out differently. It happened to me and I was sooo mad. There were 4 BM’s and we got to pick out own dresses 3 chose the same and mine was the only different one. I thought it looked like I had bought the wrong dress 🙁 The bride didn’t care though so I didn’t want to make it an issue. Def. have the girls let you know if you go this route.
