I love my last name because it’s a very strong last name and not difficult for others to pronounce or spell: Wilson! I have decided to take my fiance’s last name, but I will still have the same initials. I like how I will still have my initials while also taking his last name. Since we have the same last initial pre-wedding I will be putting our first names and last initial “W” on our invitations. Any other bees that have the same initials after taking your husband’s last name?

@May2013Wedding: I don’t, but I think that’s pretty awesome! You can monogram all your stuff with your married initials and wear it all before the wedding.

@May2013Wedding: Nope, but that’s neat! My current intials are Bridesmaid or Best Man and after the wedding will be BS. Not so excited about the association most people have with those initials though…

My first name is the same letter as my new last name. So all those cute stationery cards I had with the letter S on it now work for our last name thank you notes! LOL

No, but my wedding monogram, had we chosen to do one would have been my first name. (brides first name initial, married last (groom’s) name initial, grooms first name initia = my first name)

My initals will change but my new initials will be JB which is a nickname I have had since I was a kid and I have it on the back of Slo-Pitch Jersey which is also how I met my SO!!

I will! My last name starts with a K and so does my Fiance 🙂

I wish mine did, my maiden name started with a letter near the beginning of the alphabet, and my husbands name starts with a letter near the end. I love his name, but our poor children will always be at the end of lines.

I’m keeping my name, but my mother changed hers and it was the same last initial. She’s said if she was getting married today she would have kept her name though, which is part of my decision to keep mine for sure.
