So clearly late to ring alterative game, so now I hear about Asha. What’s the scoop to compare. The pics are from 2 diff sites, but pretty sure it’s stock photos of the set.
Moissanite 1.5 ctw center w/ diamond side stones & palladium = roughly $1800
Asha 1.5 ctw center w/ diamond side stones & palladium = $1400
So explain to me the difference, I used google but can’t find honest reviews just sales pitches. $400 is totally worth if it is going to last longer, look better, etc- but if it’s similar enough then save me us some cash, or maybe 2 ctw ((evil laugh))

@aliciapdx: The Asha will look more like a diamond. It’s CZ coated in diamond. So, if you want a better replica of a diamond, then Asha would be the choice. Moissanite has more brilliance and fire than a diamond. So, if you like that – then go with moissy. I believe moissys last longer.
ETA: also, some say the moissy has a green/grey tint and that it’s less noticeable if you get the enhanced moissy, but it will probably be warmer and have more color than an asha.

You will need to replace the Asha eventually. Moissy is a ‘forever’ stone- I’d personally pay the extra for the Amora.

@CaptainSpaulding: That was the #1 contender, but I hope to have an e-ring w/i the month.
Due to unexpected delays at the lab, Amora Moissanites are not currently available. We hope to restock by January 2013.

Ashas will last you a few years of normal wear and tear, I’ve seen them last for 8 years without damage for some and other have to replace them after 18 or so months.
Moissanite on the other hand is much harder, less likely to chip or scratch, and has a lot more fire and brilliance, and will last you several lifetimes. Bonus, it is a unique, gorgeous gemstone that wasn’t made to imitate anything. 🙂

I recently put my name down on the waiting list for both a 1.5ct Amora and an Asha. I have never seen them in real life as Australia seems to be behind in the alternative market. They have a really great return policy so you could order both and return what you don’t want 🙂
