    Unless you have someone you know that can do alterations I think both prices will end up at around the same amount.

    $150 off is not enough to take the sample that has been squeazed or clipped on many other brides.  If there was a 35% or higher discount maybe.  I am 5’4″ and I did not order the petite because you can always bring up the length but its hard to add material.

    The cost to get the sample altered will probabaly make up the difference for the new one, if not cost more. Alterations are expensive, especially if you need to take the dress in that many sizes!

    Also, I’ve noticed through my own experience that bridal shops are often anxiosu to get rid of the sample, so that’s why they’re probably not telling you about the fine print of the alterations cost. Sure, they can do the alterations with no problem, but my guess is that they’ll make sure that you pay dearly for what they do….

    FYI, I’ve been quoted $250 for alterations to my dress. :/
