I am going to be DIY’ing my centerpieces and will be ordering the flowers in bulk online through Sams Club. Have any of you ladies ordered bulk flowers online? From either sams, costco, fiftyflowers…etc? How far in advance did you order them? My wedding is June 5 and dont know when I should put in my order.
Thanks!

derbybride had a post a little while ago about ordering from fiftyflowers.com–sounds like it went pretty well, with a little bit of extra TLC!

I was just looking at this online too.. when you order them, do you tell them when they should be delivered? It seems so risky!

i’m going w/sams, my Future Sister-In-Law did and they just placed their order a few weeks in advance, then picked them up from sams the day before. be sure to call and verify your order the week before, then few days before. they were gorgeous!

I ordered from Sam’s club and had a wonderful experience! Since we were getting married in Lake Tahoe I had them delivered to the cabin we rented. I believe you can only order them 45 days in advance so you might want to check the website. Also you specify the date you want them delivered. I had them delivered on the Thursday before the wedding. I only ordered roses so they were pretty easy. Just follow the directions they have online for taking care of the flowers and you will be fine.
Oh and make sure you have plenty of buckets! I only had 3 and ended up having to send someone out to get more. We used 6 five gallon buckets for 350 roses. As soon as we received them we stripped all the thorns off and most of the leaves and put them in warm water with the food that was provided. Then we stored them in the laundry room and kept the lights off. Friday before the rehearsal we put together the bouquets and then I made the bouts on Saturday morning a few hours before the wedding.
Hope this helps!
