Hello there, I am actually getting married at Twin Oaks in August. It is a beautiful place and my Fiance loves it. However you got to remember there is still tax on every person. So package number three which is originally $130 is now $160. However I am not sure about the other packages. I would suggest calling them NOW since I had an incredidibly difficult time getting a date there since they book 18 months ahead usually. Good luck with your search and I hope you find a great place!

I would check out alternate venues like Spanish Village in Balboa Park or somewhere in Liberty Station. I am actually getting married at the Thursday Club in point loma but it is a little pricey. Our close second was actually the coronado community center. The reception room faces the water and is gorgeous. You can get married in the park next to the center or on the beach across the street.

Final thought- if you have anyone in your immediate family who is military they can sponsor you at one of the military sites in town. Trust me they are the most affordable and some of them are actually really nice as well. I think I looked at most of the wedding sites around the city since I had the same budget concerns so feel free to PM me.

Best of luck!

I was a guest at a wedding in Balboa Park.  It was awesome- I have no idea how much it cost though!

Just got married at Los Willows last weekend and it was stunning.  The staff there, especially the day if coordinator, Kendra, are TOP NOTCH.  Can’t express how easy it was for me to relax at the party knowing that Kendra was on the scene.  If you can swing it, do it there.  They are very amenable to negotiating prices on a variety of things and we negotiated to have a number of upgrades included complimentary upon signing the contract and even subsequent to signing.  At the end of the day, I felt the per person price was a bargain when comparing the beauty of Los Willows, the details they included, and the professionalism and level of support from the staff to the many many other SD area venues I visited.  Honestly.  The only major downside to LW is that the bar and music have to shut down at 9:30 pm so that everyone can be out by 10 pm to comply with local noise ordinances and you basically have to buy an extra hour otherwise your reception will only be three hours.  Even with having bought the extra hours I felt it was too short!  You can get around the early end by having an afterparty at the bar of the Pala Mesa Golf Resort right down the road though.  Since it’s a bar, as long as you let them know you’re coming ahead of time, they will keep it open for you for free till 1 pm.  Good luck finding a venue!
