My favorite hotel in SF is Four Seasons. Love love love.

If you’re looking for something more boutiquey while still being luxurious for the newlyweds, Hotel Vitale might be a better fit. Check it out!

Those are probably my favorites of the ones that I have stayed at. A lot of SF hotels are creepishly outdated (not in a rustic cute way).

Since I live here, I rarely stay in SF hotels but we did stay at the Hotel Diva for a bachelorette party. It’s a totally silly name but we liked the hotel a lot and it was affordable, for being SF. I also love the spa at the Huntington Hotel although not sure how their rooms are; they are often on Living Social or Groupon. Neither are super duper close to CH but not terribly far either.

@MrsBee2B:  Our favorite hotel is the Fairmont in San Francisco. It is our getaway location when we need a break without driving far. Gorgeous rooms, excellent view and the food is delicious. Plus it is within a couple blocks from Union Square do definitely walkable.

The upside of the Fairmont, the Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar. Tons of fun with a great atmosphere and unique and delicious food. Plus you MUST order the hurricane. They have live music too in the middle of the pool.

We stayed in Hotel Whitcomb recently which is quite close to City Hall. It’s not boutique as such but it is a very pretty and historical building (and apparently haunted! I never saw no ghost though).

We stayed at the Madarin Oriental and it was MINDBLOWING. We got a “bridge view suite” on the 40th floor- it was mostly windows for walls- including a “scenic bath tub”. The service was incredible- unlike anythign i’ve ever experienced. They brought us special surprises for our birthdays (same day ๐Ÿ™‚ a bottle of vueve and dessert sampler- I’m sure they would trump that for a wedding night!
