I’m from San Juan.

Both are good hotels 🙂 Very nice.

I would plan on a cab but you CAN walk. You’ll find streets in san juan to be a little dangerous for pedestrians and drivers. In the city it’s good to get a cab or be in a car with someone who knows how to drive. It’s basically a mini New York city.

There are a TON of sights near San Juan. You need to see the rainforest and the old Spanish forts nearby old San Juan.

Depends on what you want to do or how crazy you want to get lol. There are many beautiful hikes and sights near the city but the islands surrounding PR offer beautiful sights as well. If you’re adventurous I’d go see the bio bay on the eastern island.

We stopped in San Juan on our cruise in December. I loved it. We walked from the port to El Morro (one of the forts there) then walked through Old San Juan. We ate at a little restaurant called Cafe Puerto Rico, which was delicious and very authentic.

I would definitely do El Morro and La Fortaleza. I’ve heard the Cathedral is a sight to see as well. I would check out TripAdvisor too.
