I wore the San Patrick Papillon for my past October wedding. I love the way the bodice fits. I had to cut some length of the dress since I’m only 5′ & wore 4 3/4″ heels. Here’s a pic of model vs. myself on the wedding day.

@traveller:  I am wearing a veil but at the moment I currently have no clue what type of veil.  I can’t even find a hairstyle I think I would like.  Are you going to be wearing a veil? Do you know how you want your hair?  Oh a dw in Thailand sounds so exotic.

@lildimples2:  I am the same, I want to wear a veil too, I tried one one during my first fitting (but I didnt get any photos).  I will on my next fitting.  I think they put a fingertip length one on me. I knew nothing at all about veils so did some googling the other day and found this website which is helpful showing all the types and lengths http://www.theweddingveilshop.co.uk/id153.html so I am now thinking waist or elbow length. I dont have a clue what to do with my hair either but I think it will be up as down never stays looking nice for me, plus I like more of a formal ‘done’ look rather than loose and wispy.  The veil wont be over my face 😛 but just at the back of my head in my hairstyle somehow. I am paying to get Temptu airbrushing for the first time ever as it will be hot in thailand and i dont want to look hot or sweaty :-).  I am excited about the wedding but nervous as it is hard to plan over the internet without seeing the venue etc. Are you getting married in Mexico? That will be awesome! Have you visited the area you are getting married in before?

@traveller:  Yeah i’m on the same boat.  I don’t know anything about veils.  That link is very helpful.  I don’t want to spend too much on a veil since I don’t think I care for it too much.  I’m just planning to get one in downtown LA because they’re really cheap over there.  Oh no i’m not getting married in Mexico.  You will love temptu airbrushing.  I love it because it stays on and it feels light since I hate the heavy feeling of foundation. Have you ever been to Thailand before?  Where are you getting married in Thailand?

@lildimples2:   lol sorry I read it on Lizdin’s name above and as I was replying on my phone and it confused me.  Are you getting married in LA?  In stores here they are $100 – $200 but I was going to buy a cheap version or secondhand or something, I dont want to spend much it it either. I have never had temptu before, I am also paying for it for my 2 bridesmaids so it should be good.  I have been to Thailand 4 times before, mainly to Bangkok but been to Phuket once 10 years ago and this is where we are getting married.  We are getting married in a beachside chapel.

@traveller:  Yeah i’m getting married in a city near LA.  The fashion district in LA has pretty cheap veils for around 20 bucks or more but I didnt really look at them the last time I went.  They’re cheaper than what they have regular bridal stores and I need to save on any type of costs I can since we’re paying for our wedding ourselves and weddings here in LA aren’t cheap and we’re doing 2 weddings since I have to have one in northern California also.  Your wedding sounds like it will be very chill and beautiful.  I’ve never been to Thailand but I know Phuket is beautiful from the thai dramas i’ve watched.  Have you had a makeup trial with the temptu before?  I really loved it when I get it done to go to weddings or special events.  Are you having lots of guests or no since its a dw?

@traveller:  One is a traditional cultural cermony how my parents want it in Modesto in CA and the other is how I want my wedding at a venue in Chino Hills.  Yeah it could be fun but my culture weddings are too tiring because its 2 days and there’s lot of different ceremonies.  I have like 7 different outfit changes for that one.  The one down in socal should be more relaxed and planned more to what I like.  What made you decide to do a dw? And do you live near Thailand at all or are you from the US?

@lildimples2:  sounds lovely, what is your culture?  I have been to SF, but not Modesto and not Chino Hills.  I wanted to do a Destination Wedding as we love travelling and want our fmaily and friends to travel with us.  I am  from and live in New Zealand.  It will be about a 12 hour flight away. We have some friends coming from the US, UK etc.

O yay! Mine is San Patrick though it’s a little more non-traditional. I love sharing these pics:

All these dresses are so lovely!

I really need to work on my reading comp;  I thought this was a St. Patrick’s day brides post and was here to see if there were green dresses.  Whoops!
