I read several other posts on here about this same topic, but even after much research we are still undecided.
We narrowed it down to these two resorts for numerous reasons and I know it’s like comparing apples to oranges but I could use some direction! Lol.
We know that we don’t want to go to the Bahamas or Jamaica. The Sandals in Barbados had sub par reviews so that one is out. Grenada looks amazing and was my first choice initially, but lacks activities compared to the other Sandals resorts and the flight is much longer.
I like Antigua more because the beach is nicer (based on reviews) and my fiancé likes St. Lucia more because he said it looks like there’s more to do. The bus ride from the airport to the resort at St. Lucia is 1.5 hours so that’s another thing to consider.
Does anyone have experience staying at either of these places? Any and all help is much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

I’ve been to both and prefer St. Lucia. Both countries are beautiful with gorgeous beaches, but if you’re looking to get off the resort at all, St. Lucia has more to do, in my opinion. You can hike the twin peaks, take a mud bath in the hot spring (by a volcando), and there’s an awesome tour that ended with eating authentic food at the guide’s mother’s home. St. Lucia is my favorite Caribbean island! The drive to the resort is pretty long, but it’s mountainous, and you get to see the jungle as well, so it goes by pretty quickly. From what I remember, the drive to the resort in Antigua was also fairly long.
FWIW, my parents went to the Sandals in Barbados and really loved it.

Thanks for the info! I think we may be leaning towards St. Lucia because the resort offers more excursions. 🙂

If you end up doing St Lucia, I highly highly recommend Julian Boat Tours! Best part of our trip 🙂

I have NOT been to Antigua, but I so so SO love St Lucia. There is indeed a TON to do, and the beaches are nothing to scoff at.
One of my old co-workers if from Grenada and i’m dying to go there. It looks so beautiful!

We were going to do St. Lucia but ended up in Jamaica for cost reasons (we LOVED it!). I wanted St. Lucia because it seemed as though there was a lot to do and I read something about a waterfall and I wanted to go there (it’s been a while so I don’t really remember what or where it was). We are still hoping to go in the next year or two so I hope you will post again if you do decide to go there!

The waterfall is awesome! Cold, but awesome. I definitely recommend it if you have the opportunity to go in the future!
