I went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon but we stayed at the La Toc. St. Lucia was amazing.

We spent some of our time at the Halcyon since you can bounce between all three resorts. The shuttle is really easy and the Halcyon is in the middle so its convenient to all the resorts.

The Halcyon is smaller than the others but all the excursions you can go on are the same at all three resorts so no difference there. The only real difference is there are fewer restaurants.

If you go for a week, highly suggest what my husband and i did. We arrived on a Monday and spent the first evening exploring the resort! There was a tour, a welcome mixer, etc. First thing in the mornign I went to the reservations desk to make reservations at all the reservation-only restaurants at the resorts (2 at La Toc and 1 at the Grande) since we didn’t pay for a butler or any upper level stuff where they do it for you. I just took whatever was available!

Then, I went to the tour desk and booked the two paid excursion we wanted to do (ziplining and a land and sea tour). The remaining full days we spent between the other resorts. We went to the grande the night we had reservations there for dinner. We packed up a bag with evening clothes and were able to leave it behind the front desk for the day. Then, when it was dinner time we were able to use a hospitality suite to freshen up and change before dinner!

So… book the Halcyon! You have 3 resorts at your fingertips 🙂 It’ll be AMAZING!!!

You can horseback ride in St. Lucia, but it’s not actually at the resorts. You have to book a tour for that. I’ve stayed at all of the Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia. They are all very nice, each has a different personality.  Halcyon as I’m sure you’ve seen by the photos has a cottage in gardens feel. It’s really nice. It’s quite. Not a lot of activity however so if you are looking for a party, Halcyon is not where you want to stay. Because of the foliage if insects tend to feast on you, as they do me, be sure to bring along some insect repellant.

@HisNightOwl2014:  I stayed at the Halcyon for my honeymoon in April.  Darling Husband and I loved the set up of the resort, must more spread out than the ‘hotel resort’ feeling I got from the Grande and La Toc.

That being said, it was much quieter and not as much going on as the other 2 resorts.  Darling Husband and I would definitely stay at the Grande if we ever go back to stay at Sandals there.  There was a younger crowd at the other 2 resorts, especially at the Grande.

Of course as PPs said, you can go to any of the resorts whenever you want, the shuttle is 15 between each resort (30 minutes between La Toc and the Grande, with Halcyon in the middle).  You can do any of the activities and eat at any of the restaurants between the 3.  And all the excursions are the same.  Just be warned that there isn’t an official spa at Halcyon.  They have a body shop on that resort not owned by Sandals, and a massage therapist from the spa that does outdoor massages at Halcyon, but if you want to be in an actual spa you have to book at the Grande or La Toc, which is what we did and it was no big deal.
