Hi there! These are a few of the examples of my bridesmaid’s dresses. There are 8 all together and they all have a different style but are all black silk dupioni. I want them to be able to pick their own shoes but I think I need to narrow it down by black pumps or strappy sandals. I’m certain I want to stick with black, as their bouquets are very colorful. What do you think would look best? Do you have an alternative?

I would do a strappy sandal or a peep toe since its June, not a closed toe pump. I like either black, or using a metallic like gold or silver (depending on your colors). Good luck!

Of those options, I like the peep toes or the sandlas for the same reason as above. But, I also think that telling the BMs to choose any black shoes would still look cohesive enough – especially since they’re wearing different dresses, too.

I like the idea of a metallic peep toe pump with a black dress. I think black dress + black shoes might be too much black for a wedding.

I think either the peep toe or strappy sandal would work for a June wedding. However, I’m hesitant to tell you to narrow it down to black peep toe only because I could see them having a harder time finding that. I know some peep toes dig into my toes. Whereas I’m sure there are plenty of comfy, black strappy sandals.

I agree with @Alleycat:. I really do love the IDEA of peep-toe pumps, and I think they would probably look best. However, every time I try to buy a pair, they seem to hurt my toes. I would not want to be forced into purchasing a pair of gorgeous shoes that will hurt my feet on the day of the wedding and which I will have trouble ever being able to wear.

Honestly, I would let them wear whatever they are comforable with. Give them a color of your choice, if you must, and let them decide what style fits best for them. I’d rather have happy bridesmaids wearing their own unique thing than a uniform look where someone is obviously miserable.

I like the look of the black peep toe, but not for a summer wedding. I think if u are opposed to a lot of color, u should go with a stripy metallic.
Personally, I’d use color. I love when ppl wear black and have red/pink/etc shoes (or whatever your colors are).

@AJester2: I agree with this. I think color would look adorable, especially with the colored bouquets you mentioned. If you’re set on black though, I would just tell them to get black heels and let them pick for the same reasons PPs stated.
