We finally sat down and discussed our honeymoon. We decided that Sandals seems to have the best deals and prices for all inclusive + airfare (since we don’t really want to go over 4500). But…
For those who have been or booked a stay… How in the world did you decide?! There are so many resorts and they all look gorgeous. And then.. how did you decide which room?
Also – are these resorts all perfect people? I mean, I’mma plus size girl. Am I going to stand out like crazy?

I loved Sandals Royal Bahamian last spring! It was amazing me and Fiance had the best time! We only went for 4 days it was incredible. The rooms were nice and food was awesoe my favourite meal was the breakfast at the baccarat restaurant it was amazing you could have caviar.
The year before that we went to Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay Jamaica! That was also amazing the rooms were nice but not as nice as in the Bahamas. The food was delicious!
We are having our wedding in the Domincian because it is cheaper for our guests . So we will not be doing Sandals but we plan on taking a 4 day trip to Sandals in Antigua about 4 months after the wedding !

Hi! We are booked for the Royal Plantation. It will be a six night,, seven day stay. Fiance actually has been handling all of the honeymoon stuff, but I think it is one of the best resorts Sandals has. Of course it is all-inclusive and we get our own butler! We choose the St. Ann honeymoon suite becuae it was the mid option of all rooms. (honestly I think they are all beautiful).
But in saying this, you want to choose a resort that meets your needs and personality. For instance we wanted somewhere small and private. this resort has only 73 rooms and is usually not at full capacity. If we feel the need to liven it up a bit, we can visit the resort next door as one of the perks of staying at the Royal Plantation. But, like I said earilier, its up to you guys and what fits you best.

I would consider the location first and then compare resorts. For me and Fiance, we wanted to stay on an island that was scenic and had things to do other than lay on the beach. We chose St. Lucia for this reason. We are planning on doing some hiking on the twin mountain peaks and touring the local cities. When deciding the room, we looked at price first and then considered the view we would have from the room.

We went to Sandals Grande Antigua for our honeymoon in Sept. We absoluately loved it!!! It came recommended from a friend of ours and a travel agent. It is known as the most romanic resort and it definately was! Sooo beautiful and food was amazing. We truly had a fabulous time. We are now planning another Sandals vacation to St Lucia. Another sandals property to take a look at is Jamicas Whitehouse. Sandals owns that area so you would be very secluded. I agree deciding on a resort can be difficult as one person is rating it as a 5 star and the next review is rated as a 1 star and telling you not to waste your money. Personally, I like to have recommendations fro
People i know or travel agent. I also like to look at the travellers photos. No place is going to be perfect and it is based on a persons expectations and experience travelling to different islands. I think people who pay alot for an extravagant upgraded room or butlers generally are more negative on the reviews.
