My BFF & her husband went to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montegro Bay, Jamaica for their honeymoon and they loved it!

We did Sandals Barbados, it was great.  They are currently expanding. In barbados the people were all so nice and it was only like a 15 minute ride from airport. One of our reasons for doing Sandals was the inclusion of scuba diving as that was one thing we really wanted.  We dove 4 days of our trip.  We stayed in club level which I would do again as that gave us someone to make dinner reservations, check in, check out without the intrusion of a butler

I worked for Sandals and was 100% team sandals until we went to a Dreams and Secrets resort. Honestly, you get the same quality at a much better price. And their resorts feel more updated and modern than any of the sandals resorts I visited.

Save your money and get a higher end room at a secrets resort.

If you’re open to different chains Secrets Maroma in Mexico is fantastic. We stick to adult only all-inclusives but Dreams also seems nice.

We had reservations at Sandals Negri, but cancelled and just booked at Secrets Playa Mujeres. Secrets Maroma Beach is gorgeous too, but there wasn’t rooms available in our price range when we’re traveling. My Mother-In-Law has been to all the Secrets resorts and has raved about these two.

rae718 :  For all-inclusives, we have stayed at Couples, Secrets, Paradisus (adults only club level – I forget the name of it he Paradisus equivalent), and Ritz-Carlton. Of them, Paradisus was the best, but we now understand that we prefer a non-all inclusive vacation.  Secrets properties are more modern and better kept than Couples resorts, but the food was very bad at Secrets and I don’t want to stress about getting a beach or pool chair when on vacation. Overall, we are not all-inclusive fans. For non-all inclusives, in Mexico we were very pleased with Rosewood resorts, Preferred Hotels, Four Seasons and some Ritz-Carlton properties although would not recommend all of them. Hope that helps
