I tend to sound like a broken record, but we loved Couples when we stayed. We stayed at the smallest of their four resorts (Tower Isle) and honestly felt like we had the place to ourselves which was perfect for our honeymoon. We never had to wake up early to find spots by the pool or beach. We liked that tips weren’t allowed, so we never had to worry about carrying cash while at the resort. The staff is amazing and the food was awesome (which you can’t always say about all inclusives). I’ve never known anyone personally who didn’t enjoy their time at a Sandals resort, but I would definitely look into Couples too. We were there for 6 nights and ended up at 4k including flights for a reference.

We are going to Jamaica for our honeymoon and had a hard time deciding between Couples and Sandals. I honestly don’t think you could go wrong with either chain, but ultimately we choose Couples because it was cheaper and had more things included that aren’t included with Sandals (free excursions), so we felt it was the better bang for our buck. We also were not into the tiered level of guests at Sandals (except for Sandals Royal Plantation) and that guests are treated differently depending on their level.

I’m very happy with my choice! We’ll be at Couples Swept Away in November for our honeymoon. The beach looks AMAZING!

nicole72994 :  When we stayed the ages where all over the place from couples our age (mid twenties) to older couples. Tower Isle has a much more laid back feel so there wasn’t a whole lot of night life (that we saw anyway). I know they had a newly opened club while we were there, but sun exhaustion totally took over and we were passed out after dinner most nights lol. I haven’t stayed at a Sandals, but I’ve had many friends who have. They all had a great time at some of the different resorts (can’t remember which ones off the top of my head).

We got married and honeymooned at Sandals Montego Bay. Loved it! We can’t wait to go back. We did 8 days, 7 nights with a butler.

nicole72994 :  We took a glass bottom boat to Margaritaville! That was so cool. Got to walk around the town and buy some souvenirs. There was always the option to hang out at other resorts BUT we were always finding things to do at our resort so we never even would have really had the time. It’s unlimited water activities and that includes sailing, snorkeling, tubing and some others I can’t think of. We went to a pool party one day and they had a DJ. Montego Bay is the party resort though so maybe that had a lot to do with it. Our room had a bath tub outside that we were so excited to use and ended up only using it to rinse off our sandy feet lol. There were a few different places to grab drinks at night and entertainment every single night.

The crowd was mixed. A lot of young newlywed couples and a lot of older couples.. I’d say a 50/50 mix.
