@leila0915:  4 seasons santa barbara? Its pretty much on the beach, though if youve been to SB you probably know that the beaches there arent the greatest. I would personally try and book an excursion (kayaking/wine tasting) for at least 1 day since SB can pretty much be explored in half a a day.

We are thinking of SB for a mini honeymoon, too! πŸ™‚ We’ve been there a few times and my Fiance always does the annual August triathlons there.

Not sure yet, but I like all the fancy hotels that view the beach. I’m sure every penny will be worth it. It’s a laid back and overall quiet city (besides some of the college crowds). Sorry if thsi doesn’t help…I’m researching, too!

I’ve never stayed here (but always wanted to):  Bacara Resort

It’s not by the main stretch of touristy Santa Barabara (like by the pier or State Street) but it’s up in Goleta (about 10 minutes north).  I think it would be the perfect spot for a mini-moon!

Plus if you wanted to do some wine tasting in Santa Ynez would be good location! πŸ™‚

@oracle:  We LOVE Goleta! πŸ™‚ We have a friend that lives there and we even biked to a private beach a few minutes away. It was romantic and so scenic.

@craftybridelovesnerdygroom:  I don’t know how you’d go wrong choosing Bacara (as long as you don’t want to be closer to the main part of town)!  πŸ™‚  (one day, I’ll get there!) πŸ™‚

Not sure if you plan to rent a car, but I was out there for work a few years ago and stayed for a few extra days to solo-vacation. I had a ball driving along PCH & stopping off at farm stands, wineries, a honey place, whatever I saw and felt like stopping at. I wished I’d had some extra time to head out to some of the parks I saw on the map.
