I absolutely love, love, love, my engagement ring!! It’s a gorgeous Sapphire center stone with diamon accent halo, and a solid 14k white gold band.
My only question is, what in the heck are we going to do for a Wedding band?
Things i’m currently thinking:
1. Customize a wedding band to fit around the band of my e-ring, and have a open space in the middle for the e-ring setting
2. Wear my e-ring on my right hand and my wedding band on my left.
Kate middleton wears a regular wedding band, but it looks a little funky not lined up next to the e-ring. Maybe I’m just crazy though
How did you ladies decide on a wedding band for your halo/cushion ring?
I just don’t want to take away from the beauty of my e-ring!
please help me (:

@Alexandria_Lyn: I prefer the gap and a plain – straight wedding band – to a curved wedding band with no gap. i guess because i like being able to wear the band alone without the e-ring if I ever wanted to.

@lilsweetie: That makes sense! and I never thought of that. I think I’m going to go to a Jeweler today just to try some on and see how it looks. I’ll take some pictures and post them on here again!

@Alexandria_Lyn: I’ve got a similar shape and style ring and I’ve got a tiny (prob 1.2mm wide) diamond full eternity ring which looks lovely with mine. I also think a narrow plain band would look nice. Personally I would avoid a very blingy ring as I think it would detract from your e-ring. Have fun trying lots out :-).

@Alexandria_Lyn: Yes please do post pix! we looooove pix here 🙂
Or as an alternative, you could get 2 bands – one for with e-ring and one for without. Do you plan on wearing your e-ring most of the time?

I have a different shaped sapphire halo e-ring and I JUST finished mulling this over. Originally I thought of getting two very thin custom eternity bands for either side, but when I got the wax it would totally change the character of the e-ring, very broad and blingy. I opted in the end for another band that *sort of* fits with my ring (as in I can wear them together, there is a bit of a gap but if I did it over time they might rub on each other) and will likely wear them on each hand.

This is with the waxes to show how the eternity bands would fit:

What I ended up going with (not a great picture):

I am a fan of a custom band that matches the shape of the ring. It is a beautiful ring and I would want to highlight it every way possible!

Alexandria_Lyn: I LOVE your ring. I found a picture of it on a google search for “sapphire halo e-ring” Could you tell me its specs? What size and where you purchased it. My SO and I have been looking at an 8×6 1.43ct center with a halo and i love it but am afraid of ring shrinkage…lol
