I have the same dilemma! I loooove my sapphire eRing and we are debating on whether to add a custom wedding ring to sit flush next to it (I have a split shank halo) or do we get a matching diamond or diamond/sapphire eternity band to wear on my right hand, which is what I’m leaning towards. I love looking at your sapphire rings, they are Gorgeeeeous!

@softballchic_2006:  I have a halo with a plain shank practically identical to the second pic from your first post.  (My center is a diamond however, not a sapphire).  My anniversary band sits completely flush next to it.  It’s not a designer setting; my local jeweler had it in their case but they had to order it for my specific sized diamond.  I don’t know what your budget is but my setting was $950 for a 1.5ct round diamond, 14kt white gold.

ETA: All your rings are so pretty!  I wasn’t asked what I wanted and if I wasn’t given a family diamond I would have picked a sapphire!

Fiance went the custom route and worked with Laurie Sarah. It can be pricey but she has a lot of rings to choose from in every budget!

Kinda hard to tell, but mine has pink sapphires in the band!

Sapphire in a halo with white gold knife edge band. It’s not technically an engagement ring, so the setting is kinda big and sits right flush up against my finger at the center and there’s a teeny bit of room at the edges. I had one heck of a time figuring out what we were going to do for a band. I didn’t want a gap, and I didn’t want it to go all the way around the halo either – I think that looks nice on round cuts, but too much for an oval. I also considered wearing my e-ring on my right hand and just getting a blingy band. We ended up going custom though. We spoke to a couple different jewelers and are having my band made right now actually, should be done this week. This was the inspiration picture:

Only mine isn’t going to have diamonds in it, it’s going to be knife edge like my e-ring band. I considered having diamonds, but I just decided that I love my e-ring so much and I don’t want anything to take away the focus from that. The curved part is a little thinner and will sit under the setting flush so there is no gap. He also said that there is enough metal in the band that if I do decide someday I want diamonds, he can put them in. The custom white gold band is going to be $400, my total will be a bit more since I am having my e-ring rounded out.

Here’s mine 😀 The sapphire is a lab-created (more economical for us), but I absolutely love it!

I won a 5ct Midnight blue sapphire when I was in St Thomas USVI and plan to have it set soon but waiting on the halo for my e-ring setting first
