I love my sapphire girls!!! God, I just love sapphires.

How many of you with sapphire erings are going to be getting non-sapphire wedding bands?

@JackiBean:  Hi!

I suppose mine is the ‘non sapphire’ wedding band..it’s just a plain gold band..The sapphire is too long to really put anything else in there with it…so, plain gold band for me..Wink

@setillia:  Does anyone have a sapphire and other gemstone e ring, I mean to ask, other then diamonds and sapphires?

I saw one that was all fancy coloured sapphires and it was stunning….

@setillia Your ring is beautiful! I love Diana and Kate’s ring and the tribute. Yay for sapphire girls:)

I currently have a blue sapphire and diamond ring that I just had custom made. I am actually thinking about changing it to a blue and white sapphire and getting rid of the diamonds. I love it but for some reason I feel like sapphires are much meaningful than diamonds. Do you  like the way your ring sparkles…I would imagine it would be different than diamonds.

I’m adding my square halo white sapphire ring! White sapphires are something special…with their own character and sparkle. I’m really liking them!

Square halo ring with thin diamond band:

And a white sapphire eternity band I am considering…I’ll post back if I end up getting it 😉 I love eternity styles and with sapphires, I can’t resist 😉

@has31:  Hi!

Thank you so much!

I do love the sapphires and I tend to choose them over diamonds, not that diamonds are not a gorgeous stone in their own right!:) winx…The white sapphires do look a bit different then diamonds mostly because they are not cut the same..although to describe the cut of the white sapphires, I would say they appear to be old mine cut diamonds and everyone always assumes they are diamonds until I mention that they are in fact white sapphire…So, really white sapphires, which I use for most of my surrounds, are great! They do sparkle and glow, they do tend to look like the mine cut diamonds and for that reason also look fantastic in antique style rings..:)

And they sparkle, they certainly do that!:)

Also, you could always take whatever diamonds you are changing out, and put them into a cluster pendant or ring..:) Why not have them to wear as well?  I do love the folklore behind sapphires, the mythology and legend add to the mistique and the beauty of the sapphire in all of it’s colours is what makes it such a favorite..

I also have just started to see just how many royals from around the globe have used sapphires over the full history of the royal tradition in their e rings, and wow, it IS a lot!  The one I posted here is so cute.  I do not know who owns it but..I love crowned rings, and the older cut diamonds look like my white sapphires do..:)

Also, I have used natural white zircon, natural white topaz and other natural white gems in place of diamonds and I find that if you want that diamond spark, the best tends to be the natural white zircon..very very sparkly!  Just as a side..:) winx

Hi all,

Very interesting post. I want to propose to my girlfriend and I know this is the ring she wants:

Any clue where or how can I get it?

@SapphirePirate:

Hello!

I don’t know where you could find that exact ring, but there are many sources for sapphire e rings out there…I just made one for a friend who had done his research and asked me to do a colour change sapphire e ring…I was really happy to do that, it was the first request for a colour changer!:)

You could always buy a sapphire and have the ring made custom..:)

I have a 1.2 carat parti colored green and yellow sapphire. You don’t really notice the yellow but the reflect shows through the stone. We are really lucky to live only 45minutea away from one of the few areas in Australia that produces large quantities of sapphires. I love that the jeweler I bought the ring from not only designed the ring but mined the stone. I wasn’t planning on getting a sapphire but I was open minded when I was looking at rings and fell in love when I tried it on. Later I noticed it is the same colour as my fiances eyes.

I’ve been meaning to post the “final product” now that we’re married.  We had the wedding band custom made to fit the e-ring.  One jeweler tried to talk me out of alternating sapphires and diamonds. So glad I didn’t listen…I’m in love with my set and am so glad we designed it all together, there is so much meaning behind both rings!

@sealevels:

This is a truly charming beautiful ring. Why? because the beauty is not only from the top… it has a fabulous trellis setting only seen from the side.

When you hold this ring up to the light, you can see under the center stone – between the bottom end of the stone (the culet) and the “V” of the trellis…. forms a heart shape. Such an endearing secret…. I love sharing with you ; )

I wear mine as a right hand ring.
