Diamonds are over done and cliche

    I like color

I dont like small children being beaten, etc for a piece of jewelery on my hand

I like being different our ring should represent us not put us in a box that looks like everyone elses

Our decision to get a sapphire was not related to cost, I just really wanted something different and unique, which I didn’t think I could fine in a diamond. So we designed this champagne sapphire.

I prefer sapphires to a diamond because it’s my birthstone. I think they’re just gorgeous and when the engagement talk when for theoretical to real as hell, I sent him a photo of something I liked because I’m picky. I didn’t want sapphires on the outside…I wanted it to be the center stone. I got just what I wanted!

    ew, sorry about the nails…

I have a white sapphire solitaire and have no problem correcting people who assume it is a diamond. I actually chose to have a white sapphire because I felt it made my solitaire more unique! I have a blue sapphire rhr so sapphires will be my stone of choice for jewellery from now on – I love them!

@sapphirecupcake:  Thank you! I am very naturally tanned so red suits me very well. In fact, I am wearing red right now.

I love sapphires! They’re my birthstone and I’ve always wanted a natural sapphire e-ring.  i have a moissy that was pretty cheap right now but once I find the right sapphire ring, I’m going to upgrade. Like others have said, if it’s good enough for Princess Diana, it’s good enough for me!

@sapphirecupcake:  Everyone else can go to heck with their nasty comments. Everyone in my family knew I wanted a sapphire and I always had a pre-disposition to 3-stone rings, so it was natural decision for us.

Let it be known that I have NEVER seen a person in Real Life (not on the bee) who has a sapphire like mine….BUT i have a friend who has a BEAUTIFUL pink sapphire/yellow gold ring with really nice detailing…so pretty.

We havent chosen a ring yet or any details, but I would be quite happy with a white sapphire ring. SO and I don’t have a lot of money right now, but I am getting awfully sick of waiting. When I looked at white sapphires, I thought they were beautiful, so it might be a good alternative to diamonds- if I get the ring I am hoping for, it won’t be “conventional” anyway!

So part of it is a money consideration, but also because they are beautiful in their own right.

I’m going to chime in here, even though I don’t have a sapphire (I have a black diamond).. My family criticized and ranted about the black diamond, but it’s MY ring. I don’t care what they think.. It grew on them eventually.. LOVE YOUR RING, it’s not up to anyone else! (well, your SO)

Check out Ben Bridge’s sapphire ring collection.

I did the same and gave Fiance three of my favorite options they had. he surprised me with my favorite.

Sapphire is my birthstone, the ring of Princess Di (and now Kate), but more importantly, the sapphire is supposedly symbolic of romantic love, truth and fidelity.

I love everything about my ring.

My family actually gave me a hard time too. My mom still says it doesn’t look like an engagement ring at all. Screw it. I LOVE my ring.
