Here’s mine. I still think it’s the most beautiful ring I’ve ever owned or seen, even after looking at zillions of pictures while shopping for a wedding band and also seeing everyone’s beauties on these boards. We looked at lots of diamonds, but this one was just IT. Meanwhile, finding a band to go with has been tough. A straight, plain band looks odd, a custom band is astronomically priced, and the regular wraps/inserts just don’t sit right.

I’m glad to see a few plain shank halos with sapphires – I feel great about my choice.  Looking forward to posting mine when I get it (which I hope will be soon)

Here is my purple sapphire. I’ve always love sapphires and people rings. I’d never even heard of a people sapphire though until we started looking for engagement rings that were unique.

Here’s mine! It’s a 1.53 carat Ceylon sapphire, surrounded by Canadian diamonds in a bezel cluster setting (platinum). I designed it through the Natural Sapphire Company, and I cannot imagine a ring more perfect for me ๐Ÿ™‚  I’ve always wanted a blue sapphire, ever since I was little… and I’m grateful that I’ve only gotten a few “just like Kate’s” comments, because I wanted this type of Art Deco design way before the Will and Kate spectacle began!

Your rings are beautiful, ladies!!

My mother had a sapphire engagement ring – which I will be wearing as my something blue on my wedding day (She is deceased). I have always loved that she didn;t get the ‘traditional’ diamond, my sister has an emerald, and while I have a diamond, it is a cognac rather than a white one.

I loved halo settings, and a diamond in the center of a halo setting looked redundant to me. I also wanted something rare and unique. I didn’t want crappy (according to stats) diamond because thats all we could afford.. and knowing that a crappy stat diamond wouldn’t be worth anything after we bought it really bugged me.

So we got a natural unheated treated color change sapphire. ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a natural three stone Saphire with diamonds. My fiance originally wanted to go with a diamond ring until we saw this ring. It was unique and totally stood out from all the other rings we saw. Being an artist (painter) I knew I wanted something special. And this ring is special in my opinion.

I love the intense color of my sapphire.  It’s also a round brilliant cut, so it’s really sparkly.
