Hello Bees! I’ve recently become obsessed with sapphires, and am seriously considering purchasing a RHR on etsy with one. The only problem is, there are so many colours to choose from, and they’re all gorgeous.
So, if you’re a sapphire bee, can you tell me what colour stone you chose and why? And what metal did you have the stone set in? Oh, and this goes without saying, but pics are always appreciated. Thanks bees!

@lavenderstone: I chose purple, because it’s my favorite color! So I actually chose my sapphire the opposite way–picked sapphire because it comes in purple! It changes color a bit depending on the light, looking bluish at times, but it’s not technically a color change. My ring is platinum
Some different colors:
For some reason I can’t seem to capture the blue on camera. When I took the pic on the far left, it looked almost like a slate blue color, but my phone decided it was still purple!

@lavenderstone: I have a RHR with blue sapphires (my mum actually bought it for me as a 16th birthday present.)
Its 3 princess cut deep blue sapphires with 6 diamond chips in 14k white gold (14k because its from thailand, they do things weird over there π )
Every stone has clear streaks, but its actually one of the things I love about them π
I bought white sapphires to look into as a replacement for my e-ring but I’m not happy with them. I would do them in a white gold ring next to blue sapphires, but it looked silly next to my diamonds haha!
I would also LOVE to get a champagne or paparadaschia (?) sapphire as a gorgeous RHR one day π

pink because I’m absolutely obsessed with pink. I have a RHR that is my engagement ring, and a wedding set, both are pink sapphires!

I have an orange sapphire in rose gold as my everyday RHR. I really like the warm glow it has.

And for the wedding, I’m going to wear my grandmother’s blue sapphire ring. It looks kind of like a cross between Kate Middleton’s ring and a dilophosaurus. It’s way too big to be an everyday ring, but the color is beautiful.

@lavenderstone: I love the Ceylon sapphire which is lighter blue than a traditional sapphire. I also like the padparadscha which ranges from peach to pink.
My Ceylon blue sapphire came from the Natural Sapphire Company and even though it was my engagement ring from my first marriage, I can’t bear to part with it because it so beautiful. I need to have it reset so I can wear it again.

@beemyname: right hand ring π
@lavenderstone: I don’t have any sapphires but I absolutely drool over yellow. If we were starting over I probably would have picked a yellow sapphire three stone from the NSC like this:

I’m pretty sure I would go with yellow also…if you get a good cut/color it could almost pass for a yellow diamond!

@wrkbrk: Thank you. I don’t know if I would have ever guessed. I have tried looking it up, without success.

Yellow! It’s my favorite color. I’m a super energetic person and it definitely fits my personality
