Personally, I think the sapphire looks best with the setting- it makes the other stones really pop beside it! The diamond sort of blends in with the rest of the ring, and doesn’t stand out as much.

๐Ÿ™‚ They’re both beautiful though, so you can’t go wrong.

Always a diamond for me:)very pretty ring. You can’t go wrong! But my personal preference is sparkly white, just never been a huge fan of colored gemstones.

I say diamond. I prefer how it goes with the other diamonds. The sapphire here appears to not go with the setting

@alsgirl:  I voted that they’re both pretty.  The diamond looks more “engagement” like. However natural sapphire or a natural diamond- you can’t go wrong either way.

Oooo, that’s a tough choice!  I love the way the sapphire looks in that setting, surrounded by the diamonds.  However, I agree with the previous poster that said the diamond center makes it look more engagement-y.  If I had to pick one for my e-ring, I would pick the diamond center.

It is a gorgeous setting, so either stone will look beautiful.  My personal favorite is the diamond.

Sapphires have been used in engagement rings a lot longer than diamonds. If you really want the sapphire do not worry about people not thinking it is an engagement ring. (Personally I have a moonstone engagement ring, no one has ever questioned what the ring represents. So long as you’re wearing it on the appropriate finger don’t worry about it!)

I feel like the center stone does pop a little more with sapphire. I’d need to see a clearer close up of the ring, but from a distance with the diamond it almost looks like the center is a cluster. (That is probably just from the pictures.)

Get whatever you want, and if that’s a sapphire go for it. Just be sure you won’t mind having a blue stone in 30 years. If you choose to keep the diamond maybe you can pair it with a diamond & sapphire eternity band ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the diamond better- so classic, but it sounds like you are a sapphire girl at heart:)

@alsgirl:  I love the sapphires as sidestones. That is definitely my favorite option!

I prefer the sapphire center. I love the pop of color it provides. However, I find the sapphire sidestones to be a close second – there’s more color contrast from the white diamonds and the white setting.
