I’m looking to get a sapphire ring but cannot decide between pink and blue. I love this setting and looking to get 8~9mm sapphire to put in.
Bees, could you share your sapphire rings, pink or blue to help me decide? Share your thoughts please.

Here are pictures showing both colors with this setting. There is a CZ in the setting so the jeweler turn them upside down to show how it looks with the halo. Comments?

I vote a padparadscha sapphire. They’re pinkish.

If you have a lighter skin tone pink Sapphire will go better. The setting looks good if it were rose gold ๐

The second picture is a blue sapphire on a pale skinned model

The third is a blue sapphire ring on a darker skinned woman. You can see the difference. Your taste may be slightly different. You just will have to see for yourself in person because pictures on he internet can only go so far :/

Hope this helped. A little.

Blue is classic for a reason do vote blue. I’d say only get pink if you particularly love the colour and it will suit your style through the years. Personally I wouldn’t want to be 60 wearing a pink stone as my engagement ring but then again I’m not a pink person in the slightest! Blue tends to compliment more colours.

Just to add that this is NOT an engagement ring. Sapphire is my daughter’s birthstone. So it is my mothers day gift :).
I think both blue and pink look nice. l’m more of ‘pink’ instead of ‘blue’ person. But blue is classic. My indecisiveness just kicked in….

If you are more of a pink person, get the pink! Love the setting by the way, stunning!

imdoubler: As an owner of a pink sapphire, I vote pink! Mine is an engagement ring and I still love it after a year and a half of wearing it ๐ I also considered blue but I found it too cold a colour for me and the pink goes with everything I wear.

howdoyoudo: It is not an engagement ring. I do like to have something I would love for years. That’s why I’m considering blue even though I’m more of ‘pink’ person. My indecisiveness is killing me
