imdoubler:  PINK!

I have a pink sapphire in white gold as my engagement ring . I went WG b/c I like the more modern look and it keeps the ring more versatile IMO since it has both warm and cool tones. Blue is gorgeous but if you love pink, go for it!! Particularly if it’s A MD gift, go with a pretty bauble that fits your taste. Sounds like you already have a ‘go with everything’ ring 😉 I also like that they’re a bit more rare.

Only get pink if you really are head over hills for pink. I got my mom a a pink sapphire ring for mothers day, over 25 years ago, but she stopped wearing it as she got older and her style got more sophisticated. It sits in her jewelry box.

imdoubler:  pink! if it were me I would get a soft pink or peachy pink sapphire! I love the look of a peachy pink sapphire in rose gold like this:

I’d go with pink over the blue since it is your favorite and why go with blue just to be traditional and end up regretting your decision later?

Also, that setting is to die for!  Could you share the details of it regarding who makes it, exact ct size, etc?

I would say blue! It’s classic, will never go out of style, and blue sapphires represent loyalty, which is a lovely meaning for an engagement ring

I am totally biased, but I vote blue, I think blue is timeless.

I vote for blue. I’ve only seen the bright pink sapphires in stores and they don’t appeal to me. Online I’ve seen some beautiful light pink ones that I’d love to have. So I guess my vote is blue depending upon the shade of pink!
