I sure hope so. I am getting a pink sapphire. It’s second in hardness only to diamond. My pink tourmaline ring, which I’ve worn for over  decade is doing jst fine and theat’s way lower on the hardness scale.

I’ve had my sapphire in 10k white gold for a year and a half and its been totally fine! Its still a 9 on the hardness scale so I don’t think you will have any issues.

heatherallison :  Yep! My ring is a white sapphire in 14k white gold! I’ve been wearing it for 1.5+ years. Just make sure to clean it reguarly with warm water, dish soap, and a baby toothbrush, otherwise it will get visibly dirty.

I do! I clean it often to keep it sparkling.

heatherallison :  Yes it will! That’s what I chose for my engagement set. Sapphire is a 9 on the Mohs scale and will hold up perfectly fine for everyday use. xoxo

I work in construction and am an avid gardener… Mine never leaves my finger unless I’m cleaning it or polishing it… So far it’s stood up well, few nicks in the band but the stone is perfect.

heatherallison :  I don’t think you’ll have a problem! Sapphire is extremely hard and durable and one of only a few gems that is suitable for daily wear. A lot of people don’t know that most watch companies use sapphires for the crystal (glass) because it is so scratch resistant!

Sapphires are almost as hard as diamonds and are fine for regular wear. My ring is a vintage ring from the 1980s and it still looks great!

partyof2 :  wow your sapphire is beautiful!! I looove the colors it throws in the picture! May I ask where you got it from?IMG_7230

OP, my sapphire has held up really well so far!! I do notice the bottom of the band has worn down a little tiny bit, but I am a tapper and I have a awful (And annoying I’m sure lol) habit of tapping my rings on counters and such. But the stone has held up perfectly so far, but as a couple PP’s have said, definitely get into the habit of washing it with dish soap and a soft toothbrush 🙂
