So, one of the first things Fiance and I want to do once we’ve settled on a date / venue is buy our wedding rings.
Initally I’d given a lot of thought to either channel set princess diamonds in platinum, or just a plain platinum band.
However, I’m now of the opinion that I’d really like to add a pop of colour with some gemstones.
So, with research in mind, I’d love to see some wedding rings with rubies, emeralds or sapphires (my three favourite gemstones).
Get posting, bees! 🙂

@abirdword: Thanks. Will keep that in mind – hadn’t thought of the durability of emeralds.

You might have seen mine already but what the heck it meets your original post description with a pop of color in the wedding band department.

I was married on July 4th. This is a anniversary band hubby gave me for Christmas eight years ago. He had the two side diamonds swapped out for a ruby and sapphire. I wore this as my wedding ring for four years when my original ring had to be cut off of my finger after breaking my hand. (second photo has a pic of original ring, it cost more to repair the ring then the whole thing was to purchase 19 years ago! )
I just got a new upgraded ring this week, so I wear the anniversary and original wedding ring on my right hand as shown in second photo, hubby is so good to me. 🙂 He insisted on the upgrade, I didn’t want it, but now that I have it I’m glad I did <giggle>
