I am not familiar with your venue but my tip for finding a cost efficient venue is to look into city/town and state owned venues. See if there is a nice place locally that offers a special rate for residents of your city. Unfortunately, we were not residents but my town owned property was in a great location and would have cost half the price ie we had been residents. This opten applies to historic mansions, beach pavillions and other community or historic buildings.

I haven’t been there myself, but I know people who got married there and really enjoyed the whole process.  Since you provide your own caterer I would suggest looking at different ones to find one that fits your budget – we are going with Nicole’s, they are great to work with and quite reasonable, IMO.

@JuniperBerry: I’m from the area and I know that venue well. I’ve never been to an event there but I have attended bridal shows and what not. I can’t give you much advice as far as the venue goes other than its beautiful and EXPENSIVE.

We were married this past October in Lake George. If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me or post them here. I’ll help any way I can.
