- Wedding: October 2015
So FI’s aunt offered me a necklace to wear for the wedding. It’s totally not my taste and won’t go with my other jewlery or neckline of my dress- but it can also be used as a brooch. Awesome. Cool. I’ll put it on a sash and it’ll be my something borrowed.
The problem? His aunt is flakey. Never RSVP’d to BIL’s wedding. Still hasn’t for mine even though she has Facebook messaged me about coming. I’ve never met her. She was estranged from the family for many years until only a few years ago.
I wasn’t going to wear a sash to begin with, I thought it might be too much with my shorter bolero (would it cut me up too much?), but I do like the look of them the more I see them. I do not like the bow in the back, so I was considering having it swen into my dress. My seamtress came up with the idea of sewing clasps into it kind of like a belt. Cool. I like that too.
My concern is what if his aunt doesn’t show up (she lives across the country) and then I’m stuck with a plain sash (or no sash, but I would have spent the money on it and the alteration and I wouldn’t want to just not wear it at that point). I asked her if she was planning on brining it when she comes and her response was “planning on it 🙂 “…
Are there embelishments I can pin on or are they all made to be swen on. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
