Hello girlies!
So here’s another dress indecision that I’m giving to the Hive. My 3rd dress fitting is tomorrow and I need to decide which sash to have sewn to my dress.
Insipired by juliebeann here [http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/i-think-its-time-that-my-dress-got-her-own-post-white-by-vera-wang] I tried an ivory satin double bow.
Then I was inspired to stick my Enzoani Diana belt on the Vera. I’m leaning toward this look, but is it too busy, too much??
Thanks again, you girls always come through with good support π And apologies in advance for the huge pics…

I think the satin belt doesn’t match the style of the dress. That said, I actually prefer this dress w/o a sash because it’s so busy, and esp because of the color. π But if you are set on a sash, I’d pick the second one.

@bellagio: Date twin! Thank you for your comment π I’m not sure why the color is strawberry pink in these photos…
I originally was going to go with the horsehair sash from Vera, but ivory works with my veil and my Maid/Matron of Honor and mom think it’s a bit more ‘bridal’ in color since my dress is pink, lol!

Love your dress! To be honest, I don’t think either flatters the dress. I think if you want something around your waist, a belt/sash that does not tie might be better and something a bit smaller and thinner than the second one.

I don’t like these sashes to be honest. When I was going to buy this dress i really liked it w/o the sash or with the horsehair ribbon tied into a bow with the rhinestone clip for some sparkle!

@pink.sequins: Aw, I didn’t even notice. π Yay! The subtle color definitely looks better with the sashes, but I still prefer it w/o. π I still prefer sash 2. π

@bellagio: Yay! I was too lazy at first to crop my face out, and then decided it might help to see more of the dress…maybe not though.
I hear you girls that say ‘no sash’ but I prefer to have something around my waist. If you have other suggestions/photos I’m all ears…I was burnt out from looking online and gave up the search π

I think maybe I just don’t like the white/pink combo. Can they dye the belt? Only problem is if it didn’t look good, you couldn’t go back! π

Not liking either sash, as I don’t think it needs one. It’s lovely just the way it is. It is not plain at all, where a sash might dress it up a bit. A sash would actually make the dress look worse, in my opinion, and less bridal. Good luck!

@bellagio: That’s what I said when I saw pictures of her trying the ivory sash out awhile back.
@pink.sequins: I love the dress, and I know your mom thinks the ivory is more bridal, but I think it might be too much of a contrast…. And of course, you look beautiful in the dress without a sash as well! But if you were going for one of these two, I actually prefer the fist one. I think the second is too busy for the dress.

Do what makes you feel best! Hell, my dress has pickups (the horror) – I <3 them. π
