Love the sash! I think you could try some spanx if you are really self-conscious but you look fantastic and I don’t think you need them at all! Especially since you will already be pretty toasty in July ๐Ÿ™‚

@LilDrAnya:  I prefer it with the sash, but it still looks lovely with it. I say Spanx/shapewear since you are concerned about your tummy area.

ETA: Ok, so go for moisture-wicking/breathable shapewear to keep you cool under all of those layers. Spanx Hide & Sleek and Slim Cognito lines are apparently great for hotter days.

I despise wearing shapewear unless I absolutely have to, so try to wear the least amount that you feel comfortable wearing. I would go with the slimming panties (since it’s lower tummy you’re worried about), or the bike shorts:

@LilDrAnya: That’s WAY sexier (and who cares if no one else sees/knows–it’s all about you feeling awesome). I think as long as it’s pretty thin/seamless (and the material is breathable), you should be fine.

With sash! I think you look beautiful- what pooch??!! But if having some shapewear would give you a self-confidence boost, go for it! You have to feel amazing on your wedding day:)

I don’t know what you’re talking about, you’re tiny! Regardless, I would wear shapewear under your dress. Everyone has unflattering angles and you don’t want to be worrying about that on the most photgraphed day of your life.

I think Spanx are awesome for everyone. I’m actually not wearing any with my dress though because I’m wearing a longline bra. Have you tried one of those with your dress?

I really like the sash on your dress, but just because it ‘finishes’ the look. I don’t see anything wrong with your belly, but I do know what it’s like to feel self conscious. I think if it makes you feel more confident then definitely get some shape wear, but you look great to me ๐Ÿ™‚

Girl, there ain’t nothing breatheable or airy about spanx!! That said, I think you can definitely get away with skipping them! You look good, I wouldn’t worry. I like the sash, but it looks good without it as well…so basically you’re good no matter what you do.

@LilDrAnya:  I voted for spanx and sash.  Not that you need either, but here’s my reasons.  Spanx because you said you have an issue with a little problem area.  It’s not really noticeable to others, but if YOU will notice, then take care of it.  Last thing you want is to worry about it all night.  Sash because it looks a little better to break up the dress and give you more length.

I don’t think the sash highlightes your tummy area, you are a great weight for your height! BUT, I think it shortens your waistline and that’s what’s making you think it makes it look bigger – in effect you are cutting off your waist by having the sash. I think it’s really pretty, but being 5′ 2″ myself I think go without the sash to lengthen your waistline and make you look more streamlined and wear the spanx ONLY because you are self conscious, but not because you need to!!!!

Either way you’ll look gorgeous but being fairly short myself I never think it’s a good idea to cut the body into two ๐Ÿ™‚
