Hi Ladies!
I am having serious sash regret! I purchased this sash when I purchased my dress last February. The store associate, really convinved me the sash looked Amazing with my dress. (Funny, I later found out the store associate is the designer of the sash, Sareh Nouri). Initially, I thought is was nice, soft and romantic but now I feel like it’s a lil’ obnoxious and somewhat cheapens the look of my dress. I am now looking at the Crystal Vera Wang sash which retails for $800. I also paid $550 for my original sash and can not get my money back. Should I keep the one I have or get the Vera Wang and try and sell the initial one?
Opinions Please 🙂

I think the #2 would look better with your dress but to be honest you could find something cheaper.

@blessings: +1. I don’t love the one you have, but you can do better than 800 for a crystal sash

I’m not really digging the orginal sash. But I would never pay that much for a crystal one. You really should go to Etsy and check out the sashes over there. OMG some of them are drool worthy for 1/8 of the price. Many of the sellers will also work with you and customize something to exactly what you desire.

I agree with you that the first one is slightly obnoxious. I tried one on very similar and the salon was trying to get me to get it too. I’ve been shopping etsy and it’s a little overwhelming. This shop:

has gorgeous “high end” sashes and belts. There are a lot of other and less expensive options too though. Check it out before dropping $800! 🙂

I like the 2nd one. You can sell 1st one on ebay or etsy. You can also find great sashes for a lot less on Etsy, http://www.etsy.com/search/handmade/weddings?q=crystal+sash&view_type=gallery&ship_to=US&order=price_desc&page=2

I think your original sash does overwhelm your dress a bit. But definite shop around before commiting to an $800 Vera sash!

@Mrs. Mensah: I voted “other” because I don’t like either sash. I agree with you, the first sash cheapens your dress. The second sash is pretty but, because of the flow of the fabric at the bottom ofnthe gown, I like the idea of incorporating flowers into the sash. I did a quick search and found the sash pictured here. It’s under $100. I found it on this site: https://www.elegant-gown.com/content/wedding-sash-bridal-belt-1-white-ivory-or-black

I much prefer the jewelled sash but that is just crazy expensive. Etsy have some lovely ones for far cheaper.

I dislike the first sash and really love the second, but I’m sure you would be able to find a crystal sash a lot cheeper then $800!

i think the sash you bougth definintely cheapens the dress. to be honest…the current sash looks very sad!! I LOVE the vera sash but i htink you can get something very similar on etsy for alot cheaper. shop around for a blingy sash and try to sell your current one!

I agree. A different sash would look much better. That original sash is just too overwhelming for your dress or any dress for that matter. I do like the second sash though.
