I say. . . sell the original. I like the bling better, but I’m sure you can find a cheaper option. Try etsy!

I actually think the first sash looks lovely! Not sure I would have paid that price for it, but if you don’t love it, why don’t you try and see if it will sell before buying a new one?

I think your original sash is lovely. There’s a reason you were drawn to it in the first place! Perhaps it could be restyled (remove the parts hanging from the bottom), and maybe have the designer add more bling to it. I wouldn’t totally abandon the idea- you could always get a rhinestone sash for the reception!

I like the drama of the first sash and its def a statement but I think it competes too much with the drama in the skirt part of your dress and its too much for your dress. The crystal sash is GORGEOUS but please don’t spend 800 on it when there are ones on ETSY wayyyy cheaper that look just as good!!

@Mrs. Mensah:  Try a Maggie Sottero sash! They run cheaper and are just as blingy as your second one. I got mine for $149! 🙂

I think the sash is pretty, but with the drama of the skirt it looks like you have too much going on. I think you could opt out of wearing a sash, the skirt is so amazing!

I really like option #2! That’s so annoying that the maker of the sash is the one that convinced you to buy it! I think that you should sell it. It’s not worth you looking back on your wedding photos wishing you had. Hope it all works out. 🙂

Try Etsy. There are some super gorgeous sashes on there that are bound to be less than $800.

I like some aspects of the original sash, but agree it’s a bit much. Is there any way to scale it back a bit- like keep the main large flower and chop off some of the vertical parts? Just an idea- no idea if it’s even doable.

I did the same thing!  I ordered an expensive sash when I ordered my dress, but the closer the wedding got, the less I like the sash.  In the end, my seamstress worked on my original sash & turned it in son something I liked.  I think that’s possible with the sash you have purchased.  I might actually remove some of the flowers because I think they’re adding bulk at your waist.

I changed my sashes 2 times before deciding one custom. Glad I was able to sell the first 2 pretty quickly on Ebay. Good luck on your sash search.
