I actually really like your first sash! Could it may be altered to be a little less dramatic? Maybe you would still like it. But if you have the money to spend on a new one, I see no reason why you should settle & be unhappy :]
I don’t really like the first sash at all. The 2nd one is really pretty but you don’t have to spend $800 on a designer sash when you can find tons of similar ones for a fraction of the cost. You’re paying for the name, not for the sash.
I actually kind of like the one you have, but agree with the PPs that say you can def find something you will like better for cheaper than $800
Yeeeeah, that first sash makes your dress look cheap. Listen to the ladies above, pour yourself a glass of wine and take some time to peruse etsy. If it gets overwhelming (it is for me, pretty quickly) it helps to 1) narrow by price range – honestly, you should not have to spend over $100 for a sash, and 2) sketch out what you’re looking for, or write down some must-haves. Then when you see 100 different sashes, you don’t have to look at each one individually – just narrow down, narrow down, narrow down. Much easier! Good luck!
OMG Melissa is that you in the first pic???? its Petra! if that is you congrats!!
Thanks Bee’s I actually lucked up and found the Vera Wang sahs for less than half the asking price. I was able to purchase it from a Bride, who wore it for her wedding. So, excited about that 🙂
I bought an Erica Koesler belt for $200. It was exactly what I was looking for without breaking my bank. I just couldn’t bring myself to pay over $200 when my dress went $1400 over what I planned on spending.
