I have a dilemma. I bought a dress about 5 seconds after I got engaged. LOL. Of course, I ended up selling that dress and getting a new one, but that’s a whole other issue! The problem is this: when I bought the dress I also ordered a beautiful beaded sash from Monique Lhuillier to go with it (sash ordered completely separately from the dress. The dress was by Watters). Even though I decided to go with a different dress, I was in love with that sash and made sure that I could wear it with the “new” dress. Anyway, I ended up ordering my new dress from a different salon than the first dress. So, I went to the first store to pick up the sash I had ordered so long ago. When I took it home I couldn’t resist trying it on, just over my regular clothes. I couldn’t wait until May when my new dress comes in to see that gorgeous sash in action. So I tried to tie it around my waist and I noticed that the beading is overlapping in the back. A lot! I didn’t even want to attempt to “tie” it because I would have damaged all the beading at that end. And, the there’s no way the bow will lie flat with all that beading crammed in there. I thought to myself “weird. It’s almost like it’s too big”. I looked closer and sure enough the label inside says “Size 10”. I have a 26 inch waist. And here I was thinking sashes were a “one size fits all” sort of deal.
So my question to you is, what do I do?? I’m thinking the salon ordered the wrong size. Have you ever heard of sashes having sizes? What would you do if you were me?
